The Beverley Mission Area has a strong ethos of service through lay-work and members' volunteering and partners such as Beverley Against Poverty, local residential homes, and Beverley Schools Christian Trust. The Mission Area embraces many families with school-aged children through popular toddler and carer and uniform groups, and through a local faith school. The two Beverley churches seek to serve people who are marginalised in Beverley through regular café and Warm Welcome events.
The Mission Area mainly expresses liberal forms of Christian faith which are open to questions, and enthusiastic faith expression is also present within the spectrum of church members and adherents. Classic Christian morning worship and café-style or other alternative forms of gathering are offered at the churches. Full details can be found on websites or on village noticeboards.
There are two ecumenical partnerships with the United Reformed Church and the Church of England as well as participation through Churches Together in Beverley. The four churches seek to be inclusive of LGBT+ people and others of minority backgrounds, ages, and abilities, understanding that in this way we are being faithful to Christ's ways of living and good stewards of God's creation.
