Methodist District
Pocklingotn

Sadly Pocklington Methodist Church building is no longer in use and the church congregation now worship at The Scout Hut, Pocklington. We offer a warm welcome to all, with services taking place on Sunday starting at 11.00am.

Records indicate that John Wesley visited Pocklington Methodist Church 18 times, the first being in 1752. By 1764 a meeting house existed, probably on the site of the current Chapel, where in 1813 a new chapel was built. The current building dates from 1864 and was completely refurbished in 2000. A burial ground once attached to the church was used until the 1930's.

Wesley House adjoins the main church building and offers 3 meeting rooms for up to 20, and one small office for up to 3 people. Some rooms are available for hire. For more details contact bridgebookings@outlook.com
