I am excited to be part of the Yorkshire North & East Bridge Circuit. Our hope is that those who become part of this non-geographical Circuit will be energised to focus on local church mission in their area, confident that various tasks of Circuit governance are being handled by myself and the Bridge trustees. Our aim is to lift burdens, provide good levels of support to local role-holders, and enable ‘mission areas’ to flourish in new ways!
For the past few years I have worked as Circuit Administrator/ Families Worker for the Denby Dale and Clayton West Methodist Circuit. Supporting the Circuit in its governance, and providing support to various church role holders was a significant part of my work there, and I loved the challenge that brought. I am sure that I will miss all the connections I was able to make in the area, but felt a prompt from God to step out of the boat and apply for this position...and now I am really looking forward to getting to know new people and a whole new role!
My home is near Barnsley in South Yorkshire, though I am originally from the Black Country. I share my home with Merlot the dog, who loves nothing more than chasing a ball on a beach when we get the chance! I spent many years working in Christian youth work, am a Local Preacher, and have a bit of a fetish for highlighter pens and lists!
